The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the portal for self-nominations for the National Awards to Teachers 2024-25, recognizing the outstanding efforts of educators across the country. If you're a passionate teacher or principal from a CBSE-affiliated private independent school, this could be your opportunity to shine!

Every year, the Ministry of Education honors exceptional educators through the National Awards to Teachers. For the 2024-25 cycle, CBSE will nominate six deserving candidates from private schools under its affiliation. This is a prestigious recognition of dedication, innovation, and leadership in education.


๐Ÿ“ Who Can Apply?

Here’s a quick look at eligibility criteria:

  • Teachers must have completed at least 10 years of regular service by 31 March 2025.

  • Principals must have 10 years as a teacher and 5 years as a principal in CBSE schools by the same date.

  • Retired educators (on or after 31 March 2025) are also eligible.

  • You can apply only in one category.

  • Principals cannot apply under the teacher category.

  • Merit list based on qualifications, experience, age, and past performance

  • Top 24 applicants will be shortlisted

  • Shortlisted candidates must upload verified documents

  • A National Level Scrutiny Committee will conduct interactive sessions and select final 6 nominees
